Azure Arc - What Is It?
Recently I have been fortunate to attend several Azure Arc inspired workshops, both direct partner training and general boot camps. All sessions have been really useful in building my knowledge further of what capabilities Azure Arc can add to organisations.
First of all, what is Azure Arc?
For customers who want to simplify complex and distributed environments across on-premises, edge and multicloud, Azure Arc enables deployment of Azure services anywhere and extends Azure management to any infrastructure.

This training has got me thinking that with cloud technology being such a focus in my current role; Could I utilize the cloud technology I have access to now, to accomplish tasks in prior roles? The one example that come to the forefront of my mind was, onboarding clients from a new customer acquisition when I worked for smaller managed service providers (MSPs).
By the end of this blog series, we will see the following items be explored:
- Be able to onboard servers/clients
- Windows Update status
- What software is installed
- Track any changes made
- Monitor key metrics
